JERSEY CITY—A NEW LOCATION

The HCST Adult High School Diploma Program (AHS) formerly located in North Bergen (NHC) has moved to 525 Montgomery St in Jersey City (Home of County Prep High School). Free bus transportation from our former campus to our current location is still available.

NEW OPTIONS—INCREASED TRIMESTER SESSIONS

Currently, we have expanded exponentially the speed in which students can now receive their high school diploma. This is the first element. The AHS diploma program has increased its registration options from 2 semesters to 5 sessions- each now lasting only 8 weeks in length. The current school year had registrations during the following 8 week sessions: August-September, October-December, December-February, February-April, and April-June. The processing fee is $100 per session (money orders only)

NEW SELECTION PROCESS—INCREASES SPEED TO OBTAIN DIPLOMA

This is the second element. In order to qualify to attend the program ALL students must now complete a TABE test in order for an educational assessment to be completed. Some students, based on their TABE results, will have an opportunity to obtain their high school diploma from the state of NJ by taking and passing a state high school test called the TASC exam. Some successful students who complete this process can receive their diploma from the state of NJ in as little as 30 days. Only students who do not qualify to take the TASC exam because of low TABE scores or are unsuccessful after multiple attempts at the TASC exam, will be referred to the aforementioned HCST Adult High School Diploma Program in Jersey City. Students who are referred will attend the next available trimester session. This educational assessment will be conducted by TASC Director Kerri Sullivan in the same building in Jersey City.

IT IS NO LONGER POSSIBLE TO APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE ADULT HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA PROGRAM AT THIS CAMPUS SITE- YOU MUST BE REFERRED BY THE TASC DIRECTOR.
