(Jersey City - May 5, 2008) County Prep students competed in the 22nd annual Meadowlands Student Art Expo and Hudson County Alliance of Teen Arts Program. The exhibition, which runs from May 5th to May 11th honored County Prep students with twenty Judge's Awards and One Best of Show, and Student Excellence Award.

The exhibit included entries in a variety of artistic endeavors, including black and white and color drawing, graphic arts, black and white and color photography, and digital photography. Following are the names of the twenty Judges Awards:

From Mrs. Kahse's art classes: Seniors: Anthony Tran- Drawing-Black and White. Sophomores: John Inocencio-Drawing-Color, Stephen Gerena- Graphics; Angie Talavera-Drawing- Color, Anne Laborce-Drawing- B/W.

From Ms. Landes' graphic arts classes: Seniors: April Macaraeg-Graphics, Kristen Gerena-Graphics

From Mr. Patten's photography classes: Seniors: Erik Bradley-Digital Photography Samantha Scocco-Digital Photography Samantha Scocco-Photography-Color Juniors: Cerrille Avetria-Digital Photography Michele Toloza-Photography-Color ; Sophomores: Anne Chavez-Photography-Color Jasmine Laput-Digital Photography Jasmine Laput -Photography-Color, Venice Frano-Photography-Color Daralyn Graziosi-Digital Photography Sadef Chaudhry-Digital Photography, Alexis Vazquez-Digital Photography and Freshman: Andrew Zimbardo-Photography-Color.

Senior, Michael Caroselli- Photography-Color won BEST IN SHOW . Michael was also awarded the 2007-2008 Student Excellence Award. This award is a testament to Michael's diligence during his senior year in combination with an exceptional high school career. As this year's gold medal winner at the N.J. Skills USA Competition for photography, Michael will be one of six County Prep students going to Kansas City to represent our state in the National Skills USA contest in June.
