County Prep Sophomore Maya Daniels Accepted into Prestigious Summer Program

(Princeton, NJ) County Prep sophomore and Jersey City resident, Maya Daniels was notified by the W.E.B. DuBois Scholars Institute that she has been admitted into the Talented Tenth Leadership Academy which will be held at Princeton University from June 27, 2009 to August 1, 2009, announced Principal Barbara Mendolla. Maya has been awarded a $2075 scholarship.

Entering the program as a second year scholar she will be engaged in exploring her intellectual and leadership qualities while cultivating a professional persona that will facilitate her development into young adulthood. The Institute has an exciting summer program planned where Maya, along with her peers, will be challenged intellectually, socially stimulated and increase their awareness regarding global economy.

Princeton University will afford Maya the opportunity to tap into considerable intellectual resources and be re-acclimated to an Ivy League environment. She will also be given the opportunity to enjoy a series of cultural and educational excursions designed to promote community, self-awareness and charity.
