(Six Flags New England – May 1-3, 2009) Senior Elvia Ferreira and sophomore Kadeedra Browne traveled with the Jersey City ARTS High School Touring Choir to participate in the Music in the Parks Festival at Six Flags New England. The choir received the highest rating of “Superior” and won first place for mixed choirs. They also won best overall choir. Elvia won the honor of being selected as best soloist performer.

The Jersey City ARTS High School freshmen women’s choir, accompanied by Kadeedra on the shakers, won first place in the women’s choir category. Alison Reinsch, Vocal Music Specialist, is the moderator of the JC ARTS High School Touring Choir.
