County Prep Share-time Student Bryan Villa Wins National Yes I Can Award

(Jersey City, N.J.) Principal Barbara Mendolla is proud to announce that Bryan Villa, a share-time student at County Prep is the recipient of the Yes I Can! Award. The Yes I Can! Award is a national honor that recognizes students with disabilities who excel in a specific area and is given every year to only 27 students around the country. Bryan, a student in Mr. Andrew Muscarnero’s graphic arts desktop publishing class, was nominated under the technology category for achievement through the use of computerized devices and equipment.

On April 3rd Bryan and his family will attend a recognition ceremony in Seattle, Washington where he will be celebrated for his hard work, courage and determination. A statue designed by nationally renowned sculptor Michael Naranjo and a letter from President Obama will be presented to Bryan and the other award recipients.
