County Prep’s Victoria Bonners Wins Trophy at NJ LEEP

Victoria Bonners strengthens skills and character through participation in NJ Law and Education Empowerment Project.

County Prep junior and Jersey City resident, Victoria Bonners is a high school participant in the NJ Law and Education Empowerment Project.  NJ LEEP seeks to empower urban youth in grades eight to twelve from underserved neighborhoods in northern New Jersey to perform at high academic levels by building skills through law-related and other educational programs.  At NJ LEEP’s recent constitutional law debate, Victoria captured a trophy for Best Brief. Being awarded this trophy is a testament to the efforts she has made to improve her writing skills. Last year, Victoria won the Debater of the Year Award for her achievements in the various constitutional law debates held throughout the year.  Attorney Melissa Fulton, an associate of Gibbons Law Firm, is Victoria’s mentor through NJ LEEP.

Principal, Barbara Mendolla congratulates Victoria on her accomplishments.
