(Newark, NJ—June 19, 2009) Public Service Electric and Gas (PSEG), partnered with the New Jersey Association of Counties and the New Jersey Council of County Vocational-Technical Schools, has selected Jersey City resident Johnny Voong, a High Tech senior, to receive the New Jersey Association of Counties/PSEG Partners in Educational Excellence Green Scholarship, announced Principal Karol Brancato.

 PSEG and its partners select for their Green Scholarship Program one student from each of the twenty-one districts throughout New Jersey. Any student who intends to enter a New Jersey public college, apprenticeship, or training program in renewable energy, energy efficiency, or any other environmental-related industry may apply for the Green Scholarship.

 As a recipient of the Green Scholarship, Voong will receive $500 from PSEG.
