(Atlanta, GA/Concord, NH—April 15, 2007) In two separate occurrences, the highly popular High Tech science teacher Dr. Nina Lavlinskaia has been proclaimed a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by the National Society of High School Scholars as well as a recipient of this year’s Teacher Award, presented by the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium, announced Principal Karol Brancato.

(Lawrenceville—April 3, 2007) Mark Zhang of Harrison, a High Tech junior, has been selected to participate in the New Jersey Scholars Program, Africa, this summer, announced Principal Karol Brancato.

(San Francisco—April 9, 2007) The nominators of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, funded by the Gates Millennium Scholars program, has selected Union City resident Cindy La Rosa, a senior at High Tech High School, as one of 1,000 Gates Millennium Scholars for the Class of 2007, announced Principal Karol Brancato.

Even when he was a youngster, Ryan Woods was always fascinated with movies. One of the first movies the High Tech High School senior saw was "Toy Story," and even then, Woods was more interested in how the movie was made, rather than the entertainment value for a 7-year-old.
