High Tech High School’s National Honor Society Collects Money for Nepal Victims

(North Bergen—June 10, 2015) The High Tech High School National Honor Society (NHS) raised over $1,000 in donations to benefit the victims of the Nepal earthquake of April 25th, announced Dr. Joseph Giammarella, Principal of High Tech High School.
Touched by the News 4 New York broadcast highlighting Nepalese students from Caldwell University and their efforts to assist the people in their homeland, the NHS fundraiser, spearheaded by Anisha Mahat, whose immediate family resides in Nepal, rallied the Student Council and devoted faculty and staff to aid the victims of the Nepal earthquake.

Joan Marie Bellotti, veteran Language Arts instructor and moderator of NHS, presented donations to Dr. Nancy Blattner, President of Caldwell University, on behalf of the High Tech High School community.  The proceeds from the NHS fundraiser will be sent with Caldwell University’s donation to Nepal.
