(Weehawken, NJ—May 20, 2015) The High Tech Lasercats bested the Bayonne Bees at the 24th annual Hudson County Academic Bowl Championship, announced Dr. Joseph Giammarella, Principal of High Tech High School.
Both teams demonstrated a broad range of knowledge in categories that included opera, the environment, psychology, classical music, and Roman Catholicism.
This year’s defending champions, comprised of High Tech juniors who, ironically, reside in Bayonne, include the following students: Amina and Sara Bendaoud (co-captains), Sheri Elsaker, George Iskander, Enzo Iwase, and Kapil Kanakaraj.
