HIGH TECH’S 11TH ANNUAL SOCK DRIVE

High Tech’s 11th Annual Sock Drive

High Tech’s 11th Annual Sock Drive for the Hoboken Shelter will run through December 20th this year. The Hoboken Shelter is always looking for socks so High Tech staff and students have been helping the shelter by collecting and providing them with new pairs of socks for the past 11 years. Last year, our school collected 1,842 pairs of socks. This means that 1,842 people were provided with new pairs of socks to stay warm and safe during the harsh cold weather in the winter months. This year, in just a couple of weeks, High Tech collected 868 new pairs of socks for the Hoboken Shelter. Our goal for this year is to collect a total of 2,000 pairs of socks. Mr. Dillon, an English teacher and the Sock Drive organizer says “Every holiday season the whole school gets together and collects new socks for the Hoboken Homeless Shelter. Socks are a small item but have a huge impact on the comfort of hoboken’s clients. High Tech students have always been great when it comes to helping their community.” Our school has been doing a wonderful job at helping the community and continues to do so in so many different ways! The more socks, the more people that are warm this winter season!
