Description
What is a major?

All students who enroll at High Tech select a major prior to their junior year. Undergraduate electives and sophomore exploration courses enable students to sample most majors. Majors are organized into four broad areas that include Science, Technology, Media and the Arts. Major courses include Science Research Technology, Computer Assisted Design and Animation, Desktop Publishing, Web Site Development, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Information Systems, TV Production, Broadcasting, Audio Technology, Dance, Drama, and Musical Theatre.

Junior year majors are scheduled 80 minutes a day, five days per week. Most senior majors are scheduled for two hours a day, five days per week. All majors are project-based with opportunities for portfolio development. Each major is a two year articulated program that culminates with a certificate upon completion. Related internships are often available.
