NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Hudson County Schools of Technology (“the Schools”), 8511 Tonnelle Avenue, North Bergen, on June 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM prevailing time, and at that time and place publicly opened and read aloud for the following:
SOLID WASTE CONTAINER AND TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
Specifications and proposal forms may be obtained on or after June 8, 2012 at the offices of the Board Secretary, 8511 Tonnelle Avenue, North Bergen, New Jersey 07047, (201) 662-6713. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided and shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Bid Specifications and other bidding documents.
All container and transportation services will be provided for a period of five (5) years commencing July 1, 2012 and lasting through June 30, 2017.
Bids may be submitted in person or by mail. (Please supply two copies of the bids when submitting.) Though bids may be sent by mail or other courier services, the School takes no responsibility for the loss, non-delivery or physical condition of the bids so sent.
Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid but in no case in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), with a guaranty that if a contract is awarded, the bidder shall execute the contract. The bid security shall be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the Hudson County Schools of Technology.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127(N.J.A.C. 17:27), Affirmative Action Plan and P.L. 1977, c. 33, Disclosure Statement, and all other requirements set forth in the Bid Specifications. Bidders are required to use the statement forms contained in the bid Specifications.
The Hudson County Schools of Technology reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or to accept a bid, which in its judgment, best serves the interest of the Schools. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids.
Each bid shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Hudson County Schools of Technology, 8511 Tonnelle Avenue, North Bergen, New Jersey 07047, bearing the name and address of Bidder, upon which shall be designated:
“Bid Proposal for Solid Waste Container and Transportation Services”
