FRANK J. GARGIULO, SUPERINTENDENT, HUDSON COUNTY SCHOOLS OF TECHNOLOGY Here at the Hudson County Schools of Technology we are committed to providing our students with cutting-edge education experiences. One of the ways we do this is by emphasizing Career and Technical Education (CTE) in all of our schools, and with February being CTE Month this is a perfect time to tell you about it.

CTE students gain the real world skills necessary to obtain high-demand jobs in many interesting fields. Vocational school districts like HCST are at the forefront of preparing the youth of America for the high tech jobs of the future by providing them with the skills they need to succeed. Often in discussions of unemployment and labor markets, the topic turns to a perceived “skills gap,” with high technology jobs available but not enough high skilled workers to fill them. CTE programs seek to eliminate this gap and make sure that our children have the tools they need to fill these new jobs and enrich both their own lives and our country’s economic future.

Once again, thank you for visiting our website and please take some time to explore it and see for yourself some of the exciting events going on within the Hudson County Schools of Technology.

Sincerely,
Frank J. Gargiulo
