(Cherry Hill, NJ – March 21-23, 2012) Thirty-eight County Prep students comprised the FCCLA delegation that competed in thirteen events at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America State Conference. The talents and skills they demonstrated amassed the delegation a total of 15 Gold Medals, 21 Silver Medals, 7 Bronze Medals and 9 scholarships, announced Principal Barbara Mendolla.
Involvement in FCCLA offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life which includes planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making, and interpersonal communication deemed necessary in the home and workplace.

The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers has recognized Batrek Yassa’s Portfolio with a $10,000 National Portfolio Gold Medal Scholarship in the 2012 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. County Prep Principal Barbara Mendolla is proud to announce that Batrek’s portfolio was one of the distinguished few, out of thousands of submissions from high school seniors; that were selected to receive top honors in the nation.

On Wednesday March 21 st, Career Academy’s Performing Arts program and the Dance Club presented a Student Talent Show; a short collection of songs, instrumental music and dances. Some of the highlights of the show were Angel Hernandez performing two contemporary pieces on the piano, the Dance Club's All Girls Salsa number and a Lyrical Contemporary dance number.
