(New Brunswick, NJ—June 13, 2012) High Tech dance majors Ayah Mouhktar and Kala Fogg, both residents of Jersey City, have received full dance scholarships for the summer conservatory offered by Nimbus Dance Works, Jersey City’s premier dance company, announced Dr. Joseph Giammarella, Director of High Tech.

(Washington, D.C.—June 12, 2012) High Tech senior Kira Steven, a resident of Union City, has earned a competitive four-year tuition remission scholarship to continue studying dance at George Washington University, announced Dr. Joseph Giammarella, Director of High Tech.

The FCCLA competition held on March 13, 14, and 15 was a tremendous success for students in Culinary Arts, Fashion Design and HOSA.

(Jersey City, NJ – June 11, 2013) The Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders graciously honored the County Prep Culinary Arts team that was awarded two gold and two silver medals at the 2013 County Vocational Technical School Cook-Off Challenge held in Atlantic City on May 10, 2013.

 

Seton Hall University now accepts several of High Tech's Advanced Placement Social Studies courses for college credit, announced Dr. Joseph Giammarella, Director of High Tech High School.

The National Museum of the American Indian–New York is located within the historic Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House, which at one time was the source of revenue for New York before taxes. The large pillars and statues outside the building tower over you as you enter.  The large rotunda is filled with paintings of past explorers and ships that have docked in New York City.  Students spent some of their time looking up and hearing the echoes of their voices as they bounced off of the round ceiling.  Three glass doors within the rotunda gave way to the exhibits.
